Create professional receipts for your accounting if you haven't received a receipt (e.g. Flea Market, Classifieds).
No Receipt? No Problem.
Especially when buying from private individuals (Flea Market, Craigslist, Vinted), you often don't receive an invoice. To still claim these expenses as **business expenses**, you can create a so-called **Self-Receipt**.
Guide: What must be on the self-receipt
For the tax office to accept the receipt, the following details are mandatory:
- 1Date of purchase
- 2Name and address of seller (if known, otherwise location)
- 3Exact description of item (e.g. 'Nike Sneaker used')
- 4Price (Total Amount)
- 5Reason for self-receipt (e.g. 'Private sale without receipt')
- 6Your own signature
Is this accepted by the tax office?
Yes. A self-receipt is a legally recognized substitute document if no external receipt can be obtained. Important is the **credibility**. Keep the receipt for 10 years.
