Kleinanzeigen Profit Calculator
Calculate profit per Kleinanzeigen deal including boost costs, shipping, meetup effort, and optional secure payment fees.
Use Kleinanzeigen profitably
Many sellers calculate only purchase and sale price. In practice, add-ons like boosts, local travel and payment fees reduce net profit.
A solid pre-calculation helps you avoid deals that look good on paper but barely leave margin after all costs.
Collection or shipping: what does the same deal leave?
These invented amounts illustrate the calculator inputs, not market prices or platform rates. Your purchase cost is €18. You plan no paid promotion or payment fees borne by you, so those costs are €0 and the payment-fee switch stays off. This example concerns selling through Kleinanzeigen in Germany.
€60 with collection
Set buyer shipping contribution, shipping and packaging to €0 if you incur none of these costs. With €6 travel/meetup costs, profit is €60 − €18 − €6 = €36 and margin is 60%. The break-even item price is €24; a 20% target margin requires €30. Assess your own time separately.
€60 plus €5 shipping contribution
With a €6 label you buy, €1 packaging and €0 meetup costs, profit is €65 − €18 − €6 − €1 = €40. Margin is 61.5%, as shipping money received counts as revenue. If the item offer falls to €50 with the same shipping contribution, profit is €30 — less than the €60 collection sale. Lower shipping costs alone cannot offset an unlimited price discount.
Before accepting an offer
- Compare the same condition and accessories; an active asking price does not prove a completed sale.
- Assign each cost once. Postage is a cost; shipping money actually received is revenue.
- Enable editable payment fees only for costs you bear yourself. The preset figures are not a binding fee quotation.
- Check a lower sale price, travel, packaging and time spent. The calculator does not deduct taxes or labour.
