eBay Germany fees 2026: private vs business sellers
Quick answer
Private sellers resident in Germany generally sell on eBay.de without a final value fee, although paid optional features and special cases can still create costs. Business sellers pay a variable category fee plus a fixed per-order amount.
What changed in 2026
From 12 February 2026, the fixed component is EUR 0.35 for orders up to and including EUR 10 and EUR 0.45 above EUR 10. Selected variable category rates changed again from 1 July 2026.
Examples from eBay's current German fee table include:
- many tech-device categories: 7%, with 5% for specified eligible used/refurbished conditions;
- several broad standard categories: 14%, with 5% for specified re-commerce conditions;
- clothing and accessories: 12% up to EUR 990 and 3% above;
- sneakers from EUR 100: 7% up to EUR 990 and 3% above;
- selected media categories: 12% up to EUR 990 and 3% above.
Practical rule
Use a calculator as an estimate, then verify the exact eBay category when the margin is tight. Shop discounts, optional features, ads and account-specific factors can change the real statement.
